Bree Timms
Born in Sydney Australia, Bree studied dance at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, where she received extensive contemporary and classical training for seven years.
In 2014, Bree then decided to further her contemporary studies at The New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD), in Wellington, graduating in 2016 with a Diploma in Dance Performance. Major highlights of her time at NZSD include performing and choreographing in the 2016 Choreographic Season, ‘SCOPE’ as well as being invited to work and perform in the Metamorphosis Summer Residency in San Sebastian, Spain, under the direction of Iratxe Ansa.
After graduation, Bree joined The New Zealand Dance Company in 2017 and debuted with the Company in Auckland performing NZDC’s Lumina. She then continued to perform in the Kiss the Sky Season and The Absurdity of Humanity National Tour performing in New Plymouth, Marlborough, Christchurch and Wellington throughout 2017.
In 2018, Bree toured NZDC's Lumina internationally where she performed in Paris and the UK.
In October 2018, Bree joined the Australian Dance Theatre for a 2 month european tour performing Garry Stewart's, The Beginning of Nature. ADT performed this show around Holland, Germany and Belgium. A highlight of the tour was performing in the Bruges Festival at the amazing theatre, Concertgebouw Brugge.
March of 2019, Bree returned back to Wellington, New Zealand, to work with Discotheque (Wellington based dance company) and perform in NZ Fringe Festival. Bree is now delighted to be dancing back in her home town and working with Limitless Dance Company.
